Digital Storytelling Reflection

If i could do anything differently it would be to incorporate the music from the countries/cultures i portrayed in my digital story into the digital story itself. And when a child came up from that particular country for the music from that country to play. And also at the end of the digital story to get an audio of people that speak different languages to say the word "friendship" in their native language. Just to add to that theme of different cultures but unity of friendship and that even though we may look different, wear different clothes and east different foods we are all special and can put those difference aside , be friends and talk about our different cultures with our friends.
I would implement a digital story to introduce a lesson or an add-on onto a different lesson. I feel that as a teacher, i can definitely use digital storytelling to my advantage to help present material in an new and innovative way. And the pictures will definitely catch and keep the attention of children especially the 3 and 4 yr olds i will be teaching. The music is a great way to get the kids into the lesson and make learning that much more fun ! Photostory 3 made it so easy to add the pictures, music and other audio and make them into a story. The music/ transitions actually make the photos come to life and makes it very enjoyable to watch and listen to.I believe i will have the resources, skills(those i learned in this class plus creativity) and time to implement a resource like this in my classroom.
I definitely enjoyed doing this project. It's always fun to talk about something you love and teach others about it in the form of a lesson. Just like animoto i enjoyed adding the pictures, text , and music. And to basically tell a story. I also like the aspect of adding my own voice or the voice of others as sort of a narrator and in helping my students make their own digital story give them autonomy and let them narrate their stories with their own voice.
